Ziv Cojocaru
Conductor, Composer, Arranger, Musical director, Pianist and active musician in the popular music scene in Israel, Ziv Cojocaru (b.1977 in Beer -Sheva, Israel) is a versatile musician who bridges classical and contemporary music.He studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance receiving his Master's degree in Composition, as well as receiving his Master's degree in Orchestral Conducting, both with distinction.Since the 2010-11 Academic year, Mr. Cojocaru is a Faculty member of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.Mr. Cojocaru's compositions were preformed in the prestigious Desert Sounds Festival for contemporary music, and in the Israeli Music Festival, by well-known ensembles including the Meitar ensemble, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Israel String Quartet for Contemporary music, the Israel Sinfonietta.His arrangements are performed regularly by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra,the “aifa Symphony Orchestra , the Israel Chamber Orchestra, The Israel Sinfonietta, the Raanana Symphonette, the Israel Kibutz Orchestra, the Tel Aviv Jazz Big Band, the Meitar ensemble and more...As conductor , Mr. Cojocaru performs regularly with the Israel Chamber Orchestra , the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Filarmonica de Stat Botosani (Romania), the Israel Sinfonietta,the Israel Kibutz Orchestra, the Raanana Symphonette(Israel), Meitar ensemble, and the Jerusalem Academy of music Orchestra.In the popular music scene, He is active from 1995, and works regularly on Israel's most prestigious stage productions appearing in Israel's best-selling albums as a producer, musical director, arranger, conductor, composer, and keyboard player.Mr. Cojocaru is the recipient of several Israeli local prizes and scholarships, and serves as a board member at the Israeli Composers' League.
