Tomer Hod
Tomer Hod was born (1987) in Haifa, Israel. He started composition lessons in 2003, studying at the Wizo High School for Arts, completing a high school diploma in composition, and taking lessons for two and a half years with Arik Shapira, practicing musical theory and Bach counterpoint. In 2008 he began a B.A. in composition at the Rubin academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem, under the supervision of Menachem Zur and Inam Leef. Currently he is studying for an M.A. with Ari Ben-Shabtai. His works have been performed by Ensemble Meitar as a participant in a workshop with Phillipe Leroux. Hod won the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship for 2012.
