ALUMNI OPPORTUNITIES
Since 1996, MATA has supported hundreds of early-career composers, sound artists, and performers. MATA Alumni have gone on to be Rome, Alpert, Takemitsu, Siemens, and Pulitzer Prize-winners, Guggenheim Fellows, and MacArthur “Geniuses;” and have been presented by the LA Philharmonic, NY Philharmonic, JACK Quartet, Metropolitan Opera, International Contemporary Ensemble, and so much more.
Fiscal Sponsorship
MATA offers fiscal sponsorships to our alumni artists. Accepted projects may use the tax-exempt status of Music at the Anthology, Inc. as a 501(c)(3)-classified organization. Fiscal sponsorship increases funding opportunities for individual artists and emerging arts organizations of all disciplines by providing access to foundation and corporate funding opportunities that are restricted to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations. Sponsored artists are also able to offer individual donors the incentive to make a tax-deductible contribution. Sponsored projects must be non-commercial in nature and have some public benefit. MATA applies a 5% administrative fee on received grants and contributions. For more information, please email Amanda Gookin at pauline@matafestival.org.

MATA Alumni have multiple opportinities to lead special workshops, panel discussions, and mentor MATA Jr. fellows. If you are interested in hosting a workshop or being a MATA Jr. Mentor, please contact Amanda Gookin at pauline@matafestival.orgg.
