Nest [2009-10]Performed by Ensemble Pamplemousse, April 21WebsiteRama Gottfried (b. 1977) holds degrees in composition from the Universität der Künste Berlin, the Manhattan School of Music, New York University, and the University of Vermont. His primary teachers have included Walter Zimmerman, Marc Sabat, Nils Vigeland, Reiko Fueting, Justin Dello Joio, and Ernest Stires. Since 2002, he has been composer in residence with New York based Ensemble Pamplemousse exploring instrumental and electro-acoustic techniques, conceptual curation, and installation performance. Currently he is working on his PhD in composition and acoustics at the University of California, Berkeley.
