Ofir Klemperer

OfirKlemperer&MS20-PhotoByYoniPassyOfir Klemperer (born 1982) is a composer, improviser, singer/song writer, and producer.
He specializes in composing and arranging for live concerts and studio environments. His interest lies in combining esthetics of musicians from different styles.
Ofir has a Master degree in composition from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
Some of the ensembles he has written for are: the Asko|Schoenberg Ensemble, the Pow Ensemble, the Rosa Ensemble, Modelo 62, Ensemble Klang, and Orkest de Ereprijs.
Ofir has formed bands that perform his music, which are: the Astronauts on Earth Orchestra, Gamila, The Den Haag Allstars Ensemble, Chutzan, and Naked Wolf.
He writes melodic lines, and through orchestrating classical instruments together with punk and electronics, he applies to his pop oriented music an experimental and noise approach.
He has released albums in the free net-labels Headphonica and NOise Problems , and selling varied self-produced albums independently.
In 2014 Ofir has moved from the Netherlands to the U.S. He is currently located in Cincinnati Ohio.
