Christopher Marianetti
Christopher Marianetti, is a composer and producer from Albuquerque, New Mexico currently based in New York. Chris is the co-founder & co-artistic director of Found Sound Nation, a collective of musicians and artists who utilize mobile production to design and lead socially engaged music projects. He is a co-director of OneBeat, a music residency and tour program that brings together musicians from around the world. As a composer, his works have premiered at the International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA) Festival, Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition, Merkin Concert Hall, Massachusetts Museum of Modern Art, The Stone, and the Tenri Cultural Institute among others. With Found Sound Nation Chris has led music projects in New York City, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Italy, and Switzerland, has been a teaching artist with the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall, and in 2011 was awarded the PopTech Social Innovation Fellows Award. Chris trained in composition at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan, Italy and received his Bachelor’s degree from Macalester College and a Master’s in music composition from Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music.
