Acclaimed as “exquisite” (TheaterMania.com) and “an imaginative artist willing to think big” (The Strad), Ana Milosavljevic is a Serbian native and New York City-based composer, violinist, and Viper electric violinist. Her “inventive,” “graceful,” ”showpiece” works (New York Times) have been premiered at Carnegie Hall, Off-Broadway, Le Poisson Rouge, and the Tribeca New Music Festival, performed by the string quartet ETHEL, Ensemble Metamorphosis, Grammy Award-winning flutist Robert Mirabal, pianists Kathleen Supove and Vicky Chow among others, and featured in choreography by Takehiro Ueyama (TAKE Dance). An avid collaborator, Ana received commissions from artists Vittoria Chierici and Corrado Levi. Ana’s recent film score is Luci in the Sky (a film directed by Yuko Takebe). A MacDowell Colony Fellow, Ana has performed solo recitals at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, The TimesCenter, LPR, and The Stone, and appeared at major international festivals. She has been featured on WNYC, WPRB, WQXR/Q2, and BBC radio stations. Ana’s recent album is Reflections (Innova). In May 2013, South Shore Orchestra will perform the world premiere of Ana’s composition RED for orchestra. www.anamilo.com
